It was Saturday, May 1st when my lady Linda and I heard the news of Mark’s passing. Both of us where shocked and saddened by the news. Over the last few years I have come out to see the New Colony Six Perform, as the current band is, (was) very entertaining. I have also had the extreme pleasure to be allowed to sit in with the band, from time to time, and sit in on a few songs. Mark was gracious enough to let me use his Keyboard and I always enjoyed jamming with him. He was indeed an accomplished Guitarist and Keyboardist and I remember having some nice conversations with him. We, Linda and I, will truly miss seeing him on our yearly treks to visit with the band. I will extremely miss being entertained by one of Chicago’s great Guitarists’. Several have stated, and I will just re-confirm, He will truly be missed.
