Dear Florence, So sorry for your loss...he is gone way too soon like some of his musical heroes. He certainly was one of my heroes. He was blessed with so much talent and eager to share it with all of us. Such a great human being. The last time I spoke to him, at Nancy Fury's memorial gathering, I told him he was an angel, which was something I frequently liked to tell him. He would smile shyly...so humble. He was the one that the bands knew they could call to fill in and he did it happily...sometimes I think ecstatically. I so enjoyed seeing him with The New Colony Six and all of the other bands he played with. I also enjoyed seeing the love between you. No doubt there...he was madly in love with you and vice versa. If I had to guess, I would say that he loved the life he led. He touched so many people's hearts and will never be forgotten. Wow...that must be some scene in Heaven.
